Gecko Bows originated from a desire to shoot long Longbows accurately, consistently and to have fun with archery. Finding nothing to suit what I was looking for I started investigating how to make my own Longbows, from this Gecko Bows came.

After many trials, several errors and spectacular failures, the design and formula for making a successful bow has emerged. Gecko Bows are now used by numerous Archers with some shooting National records and winning at all levels.

A typical Gecko Bow is made with natural timber riser. Limbs are made in one of the following combinations.

• Natural timber laminated under clear fibreglass.
• Timber veneers over a bamboo core under clear fibreglass for high performance.
• Ebony black fibreglass over bamboo cores.

Gecko Bows are typically 72″ long, there are few other manufacturers or bowyers supplying to this length. I also supply 74 and 76″ bows, and have successfully built and shot bows up to 8 foot long (96″).
